The Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) 2026 is Rotary International’s premier leadership development programme for young people. It is a fully residential, 9-day immersive academy designed to equip youth with the skills, values, and mindset needed to lead in a complex world.
RYLA 2026 will take place from August 1st to August 9th, 2026, at the Sea School in Apapa.
The program is open to young people aged 14 to 25 years who demonstrate leadership potential, curiosity, and integrity. Participants must be nominated and sponsored by Rotary Clubs, organisations, or individuals, and must be willing to participate in the full residential programme.
Participant safety and welfare are top priorities. The event features secure residential facilities, structured supervision, clear codes of conduct, and dedicated health, medical, and emergency response protocols.
Over the nine days, participants will engage in hands-on leadership labs, mentorship sessions with accomplished professionals, digital responsibility training, outdoor team challenges, and community service projects.
